Who we are
United Garage Doors is a garage door repair and installation company operated by DAS Enterprises LLC (“United Garage Doors,” “we,” “us”). Our Google Business Profile appears as United Garage Door Repair.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It covers our website (unitedgaragedoorspro.com), calls and texts with us, service visits, and our Google Business Profile.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address and service address.
- Job details: your door and opener, the problem, photos you send, and scheduling preferences.
- Payment information when you pay for service. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we don’t store full card numbers.
- What you tell us in calls, texts, emails and website forms.
Information collected automatically
- Website use: pages viewed, device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, and how you reached our site (for example, an ad or a search).
- Calls: we use call-tracking phone numbers and log the number called, the time and the length of the call. Calls may be recorded for quality and training.
Information from other sources
- Google reviews you post about us: your public display name, star rating, review text and date.
- Referral and marketing partners who send us your service request.
How we use information
- To schedule, perform and follow up on your service, and to send estimates, invoices and receipts.
- To contact you by phone, text and email about your appointment and job.
- To respond to your reviews and questions.
- To improve our website, services and advertising, including measuring which ads and listings lead to calls.
- To prevent fraud, keep records the law requires, and protect our rights.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your service: appointment confirmations, technician arrival, estimates, invoices and follow-ups. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Google reviews and our review-reply tool
We reply to reviews on our Google Business Profile with help from an automated tool. It connects to Google’s Business Profile APIs through our own Google account and can only read reviews on our profile and post replies to them.
- What it accesses: the reviewer’s public display name, star rating, review text and date, and our existing replies.
- How it’s used: to write and post a reply to that review. The review text and the reviewer’s display name are sent to Anthropic’s Claude AI service to draft the reply. Reviews rated 3 stars or lower, and reviews that mention legal, safety or billing issues, are answered by a person.
- What we don’t do: we don’t sell this information, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. We keep a log of reviews the tool has handled and the replies it posted so we can check its work.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar tools, including Google Tag Manager, analytics, advertising tags such as Google Ads, and call tracking. They show us how visitors use the site and which ads work, and they may be used to show you our ads on other websites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and manage Google ad personalization at My Ad Center. Our site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Our team: technicians and office staff who handle your job.
- Service providers: companies that run parts of our business for us, such as scheduling and invoicing software, payment processing, phone and text messaging, call tracking, website hosting, email, and the AI service that drafts our review replies. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
- Referral partners: if a marketing or referral partner sent us your request, we share what’s needed to confirm and settle that referral.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our customers, staff or business.
- Business changes: a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized.
How long we keep information and how we protect it
We keep customer and job records as long as we need them to provide service, honor warranties, and meet tax and legal requirements. After that, we delete them or remove what identifies you.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
- Correct information that’s wrong.
- Delete your information, except records we’re required to keep.
- Stop marketing messages: reply STOP to a text, or use the unsubscribe link in an email.
Depending on where you live, your state’s privacy law may give you additional rights, including the right to appeal our decision on your request. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We’ll verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
Children
Our website and services are meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date.
